“One Love”
Street Work in San Francisco is a little Stressful. Especially when you have a mega house like Raising Canes pushing the schedule, demanding work get completed yesterday! This project has been fun, stressful and engaging to say the least. With only 2 weeks left for completion on our scope of work we began reflecting on one crazy challenge we faced on this project.
It’s no secret project designers don’t always nail critical infrastructure designs or clalcs on the first try. Sometimes it may be due to outdated as-built drawings from the property owner or simply updated requirements from the local Department of Public Works.
This is exactly what occurred on this project, after excavating a twelve foot deep bell hole and trench for a new sewer service main connection. We realized the percentage of slope per plan did not satisfy the local AHJ. Given that this error was no ones fault in particular, EECAR got straight to work on a quick and cost-effective solution. After collaborating with the Civil Engineer of record, the solution was quickly designed per EECAR’s recommendation and submitted to DPW for approval. EECAR’s experience as Premier Engineering Contractor provides great benefit to all our clients. We guarantee quality contracting services you can rely on.
